"Originally from Cwmbran, I have a Biology degree from the University of Bath and a Science PGCE Cert Ed from the Univeristy of Bristol. I have taught Science in top performing Secondary Schools in South Gloucestershire for over eight years and worked as a Home Tutor for over five years.

I returned home to Wales in the summer of 2006 and now with my own young family to care for, I teach an A' Level Biology evening course at Barry College and lead "Science in Plain English" home tutoring.

I pride myself on my ability to explain challenging concepts clearly and in "plain English". With a secure basic understanding you can then add in the scientific words and details to achieve higher grades.

I enjoy working with students and their families to identify and breakdown barriers to progress and achieve the very best that they can.

Assistant Tutor: Glen GilchristBSc Hons, PGCE Cert Ed

As a full time Physics teacher and KS3 Co ordinator, Glen provides tuition support during the holidays and works with the revision classes.
